WHY GIVE

Founded in 1904, Takoma Academy has committed itself to preparing students for the soon Coming of Christ and to excel on earth as we await His Coming.  That this tradition is alive and well is demonstrated that over 80% of the recent graduating class did early admissions to 200 colleges and universities in the United States.  Over 90% were accepted into colleges and universities and received $5.5 million in scholarship offers- a new school record.  Also the school was recently admitted into the prestigious A Better Chance network of schools---this network comprises the best private and public college preparatory high schools in the United States.

Our students commitment to uplifting humanity has been demonstrated thru their international outreach in Central America, South America, and Africa.  Locally thru community service days the TA presence has helped to feed the homeless, provide for special needs adult and youth, and joined the efforts to cleanup trash on our  beaches and roads.

Gifts to Takoma Academy represent not only faith in the work of the school, but also in our future endeavors-one in which our amazing students and eminent alumni contribute to the world’s well-being.

• ANNUAL FUNDS (Agape Fund)

The Agape Fund provides unrestricted, immediate-use dollars that supports Takoma Academy’s  rigorous curriculum, exceptional and committed teachers, and invigorating student life.

 

An unrestricted gift has significant impact.  It provides powerful financial flexibility to meet core commitments and support new initiatives ensuring that Takoma Academy will continue to be great in the years to come.  

 

Tuition alone does not cover the actual cost of the Takoma Academy experience. Along with  grants and specific donations, the Agape Fund provides a critical source of revenue to help bridge this gap.

 

• WORTHY STUDENT FUND

Takoma Academy’s philosophy is that no great student should be hesitant to apply or have to leave Takoma Academy because of financial reasons.  Over the years contributions to this fund has made the difference in whether a student would be able to have the honor of stating that they  are an alum of Takoma Academy.  Continue to make this school a door of opportunity for  students of outstanding moral character and intellectual curiosity.

 

• RENAISSANCE  CAMPAIGN

Takoma Academy wants to make sure that its various departments, programs, and facilities are up to date.  Donations to this fund will help to fortify the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Program  and significant improvements to the physical plant of the school.
